HUMANITY FEEDBACK: DONATING

On the occasion of Zorana Pejcic humanity work, craftsman who voluntary joined the organizers of the project `Integrated service for taking care of the old and disabled`, Palilula Municipality expressed its gratitude to this laborious man for his efforts and project supporting in a form of donation- purchasing carpenter tools.

At the reception organized by Municipal president PhD Igor Novakovic, donation was given to this humble craftsman with the wish to continue his noble and humane work. ` On this occasion, we would like to express the support to our longtime friend and associate of Palilula Municipality – Mr. Zoran Pejcic, emphasized the president. `Craftsman Zoran has been many, many times with us, whenever we needed it, but in that way, he has been there for the people from Palilula and whole Nis. All these years he has helped the poor, helped hungry people, pupils, the old and the disabled. For the hours he has spent in his humble craftsman workshop, making the necessary furniture to those who needed it, we just cannot easy  say one `thank you`. Zoran Pejcic is a winner of `Palilula charter for humane work and citizen activism` in 2008. Especially the cooperation with the municipality where he was born is being cherished.

Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate, emphasized that Zoran joined the cause for the needs of the Project and has made carpenters works of reconstruction and taking care of furniture and equipment necessary in daily life of the old people. His help has been also this time very helpful ` – said Savic.

However, there have been many occasions when he helped the people from his own city: help with Botanic garden reconstruciton of Svetozar Markovic school (furniture, benches), help for Blagica Karadza who lived at the graveyard in Nis with her family (furniture), `Rasadnik` ambulance (furniture, benches), help to Roma nationality single mothers (furniture), help to old woman Ljubica (86) from Niska Banja (furniture), to Gligorobic family, Vlase village (the house was burnt last year in a fire accident) – furniture, to six members of Punusevac family, refugees from Kosovo in the cooperation with Palilula Municipality he also organized the action of collecting necessary clothes and also made furniture for them…

During 2008 with the support of Palilula Municipality and Center for social work, 25 people from the evidence of the Work market in Nis were included in the works of public interest.  Five of them later  stayed permanently employed. Over the past years, Zoran Pejcic, also has included young people in his humane work –pupils from elementary and high schools, who find pleasure in helping other people and in their humane work in Zoran`s workshop and see it as one additional afterschool activity.
